Himself (aka the man, manthing) - My husband of 25 years. We met online in 1997 and were married in September 1998. He's was a good husband and a greater father. He's nearly 11 years older than me, I don't like his taste in music and he doesn't like my taste in movies. It's a wonder we ever hooked up in the first place. I do have to say, he helped make pretty babies. :) He's a Capricorn and I constantly tease him about being an old goat. We had a lot of ups and downs and after an emotional affair on my part, we decided to part ways and divorce. We shared the same household and are raised our boys together despite the divorce. I'm lucky in the sense that we have remained very good friends through all of the painful changes and eventually, when I was diagnosed with a large ovarian tumor, we came together as a couple once more and I realized that this man had stood by me even as I loved another who had consistently let me down. We rekindled our relationship and remarried. Now, we just say everything was meant to happen as it was meant to happen because we are the happiest we have ever been and we don't even count the time that we were divorced as being apart because we never untangled from each other, ever.
The Kid - My 24 year old son. I like to say that he was planned, but he didn't come according to plan. Three months after we were married we found out we were going to be parents. It was a shock but God knew what he was doing. The Kid has been a blessing to our entire family. He's currently in the in Clearfield, UT where he is getting his Automotive ASE certifications through Advanced Training in Job Corps. He's a genius in academics. Ok so I might be exaggerating that a tad, but he's a brilliant boy. His ADHD sometimes gets in his way at school with his studies, but he's working it out. His sign is a Leo and he fits the bill.
The Kidlet - My 19 year old son. He's our little ham of the house. He's always creating stories to tell and songs to sing. He embarrasses easily and is getting to that age where it just isn't cool to kiss and hug mom and say "I love you". He's also brilliant but his talent comes from sheer hard work and his competitive drive. He doesn't want any one else to beat him. When told he was probably in the top three of his class, all he wanted to know was who was number 1. I think it is because he has an older brother who's always in constant competition with him. He's definitely the more sensitive of my two boys. He's a Pisces and that sign definitely fits his personality as well. He has currently finished the Electrical Pre-Apprentice program at Job Corps and went on to Oneonta, NY for Advanced training in Smart Meter Instrumentation.
Dear J - The man I fell in love with while I was married. He was in prison but has since been released. We remain friends. We, too, have had a lot of ups and downs but he's a wonderful man and I, for good or bad, love him as a friend.
